The Jack Soil and Water Conservation District in cooperation with the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension will be hosting their annual range tour on October 16. The meeting will begin with registration from 8 to 9 am at the Jack County Fair Building. We will board a bus at 9 AM and travel to the ranch site. A registration fee will apply and a noon meal will be included. We plan to discuss range management, native grass plantings, impacts of well locations and pipelines, and management of improved grasses. One stop will include a discussion on herbicide treatment of greenbriar, as well as information on demonstration plots across the county. 3 CEU?s will be earned by attending this tour.
