    Executive Director - Keely Hamman

  • The Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce welcomes Keely Hamman Payne as the new executive director.
Keely, daughter of Bob and Sarah Hamman, grew up in Jacksboro and recently moved back with her husband, William Payne. Coming from an agricultural background, Keely has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in agricultural communications from Texas Tech University. While attending school in Lubbock, she worked for several years with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce where she assisted with events and produced marketing communication pieces. During graduate school, Keely worked for Picador Creative (an inhouse communications firm within Texas Tech’s agricultural college) as the project manager. She created all types of communication pieces for businesses and departments within Texas Tech University. In addition, Keely also worked with some of the biggest livestock shows in the country inside their communications department: American Royal Livestock Show, Houston Livestock Show, and State Fair of Texas. Following graduation, Keely became a crop insurance agent - working with farmers and ranchers across the panhandle, West Texas, and North Texas. Her unique background and use of social media allowed her to be a weeklong feature in the ‘My Day in Texas Ag’ social media campaign takeover featuring crop insurance in Texas.
Being no stranger to community events or volunteer work, Keely has served for almost a decade on Polled Hereford cattle boards. She was president for the Texas Poll-Ettes (Texas Polled Hereford women) and is serving as the chairperson for their awards and hospitality. Keely is currently serving on the Texas Polled Hereford Association board.
Keely said she is excited to be back in Jacksboro. “It is great to be in my hometown and to work with the Jacksboro community and the board members of the Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce,” Keely said. “I look forward to showcasing and serving our wonderful town and the great businesses, families, men and women, that serve as the backbone of Jacksboro,” she said.
