Leslie brings an extensive 18-year background in sales, non-profit marketing and fundraising from organizations such as Fort Worth Star-telegram, Goodwill West-Texas, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, American Heart Association and most recently Weatherford Christian School, where she held the title of Director of Development & Marketing.
Over her career, she has raised nearly $8 million dollars for these different organizations through marketing, awareness and consumer relations. She is also the owner and consultant of a special event planning & fundraising company, which educates non-profits on how to execute highly successful events & campaigns. Leslie graduated with honors from McMurry University in 1999 with a B.B.A in Marketing. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Grace House Ministries in Weatherford, the Faith Community Hospital Foundation Board and has been the recipient of the Jean Bryan Marketing Award.
Leslie and her husband Stewart moved back to Jacksboro with their two children, Rylan and Rachael, after living in Weatherford for the past 11 years. They both attended Jacksboro schools. “I feel honored and beyond excited to open this next chapter in our lives,” stated Chalmers “Jacksboro holds a very special place in my heart, and I truly feel we are on the edge of a new beginning for this community. It has a rich history, filled with wonderful hard-working people and it has great potential for growth and expansion. I’m looking forward to highlighting and serving a town that I know and love dearly.”
