Hunting and Fishing

Hunting and fishing is a booming business in Jack County. From feral hogs to trophy bucks there's not much that isn't hunted here. Lake Bridgeport and Lake Jacksboro draw an abundant waterfowl population and provide enough water for some serious angling.

The Seven Strutters

Hunting leases are sold out every year and hunters clamour for every available open space. If you haven't found your lease for next year already, you may be out of luck.

Several of our members provide day hunt packages rather than yearly leases. Lodges, bed and breakfasts, and hotels accommodate hunters year round.

Individual ranches and farms may be open to weekend or family leases. You can call the chamber or come in to town and visit awhile. Getting to know the community, and asking around may get an industrious hunter an open lease for next year.
