The Jack Co. Sheriff's Posse Rodeo will be held June 4-6 beginning with the rodeo parade at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 4. The rodeo will begin each night at 8 p.m. on the rodeo grounds approximately 3 miles west, on 380 west, on the right hand side. This is a Pro approved UPRA-CPRA-TCRA sanctioned event. Books open Monday June 1 - Rough Stock & Team roping - 5 p.m.-10 p.m. (254)722-0795. Timed events - June 2 - 5 p.m.-10 p.m. (254)722-0795. Eight major events - $5,000 money added. Saddle Bronc $1,000 added, Bare Back $1,000 added, Bull Riding - $1,000 added, Calf Roping, Team Roping Break-away Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrels. The Jacksboro Lion's Club will hold their annual All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry Thursday, June 4 after the Rodeo Parade from 5:30-7 p.m. on the east side of the square. Children under 10 years of age - $5.00, Adults - $7.00. Tickets may be purchased from Lion's club members or in the Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce office.

Pioneer Day at the Jack County Museum (241 West Belknap) will be held Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free. Come experience a day in the life of our ancestors - quilting bees, butter making, cow milking, pioneer school room, blacksmithing, weaving, pioneer games, and doctoring. Tales of the old west will be presented by a storyteller. A chuckwagon meal will be served at a cost of $10 - adults and $6 for children. For more information call (940)567-5410.
