The annual Jack County Health Fair will be 8a.m.-12p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Twin Lakes Activities Center located at 1114 State Hwy 59, Jacksboro, Texas 76458. The annual Busy Bee Quilt Show will be held Friday, September 26, 2008- Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day at the Post Oak Community Center Schmittou Rd off FM 2127 between Hwy 59 & 148. There will be quilts on display, craft items, door prizes, trash & treasure and a local vendor. Sandwiches or beans and cornbread will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. A donation quilt will be given away at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 27th. There is a $3 admission fee. The annual Miss Jack County Pageant will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Jacksboro High School auditorium. Contestants should submit their entry fee of $30 and entry forms no later than Thursday September 18, 2008.The theme this year is the 50's. Entry forms are available in the chamber office located in the city hall building.
